Credentials Evaluation:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited medical technology program.

English Examination:
Foreign-educated medical technologists must pass an English proficiency exam unless exempt. Accepted exams include the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and the Pearson Test of English (PTE).

Professional Licensure:
License or registration in the country of education, plus American Society for Clinical Pathology International (ASCPi) certification.

State Licensure:
All states require national certification, and nine states also require state-specific licensure.
